The lazy egg yolk

Apart from the Universal Studios there were two things we wanted to do or see in Osaka. The first one was Osaka's entertainment area Dotonbori.

Due to its eccentric illuminated signboards we decided to go there at night to discover the district in all its glory.

After a whole day theme park fun we were exhausted and didn't stay too long. After a short stroll along the canal we went back to the hotel to get some rest.

The next morning I did some clothes shopping at the shops next to the hotel before leaving for the city. Osaka's second highlight was waiting for us inside the HEP FIVE mall: The Gudetama Cafe!

Gudetama is a character created by the Japanese company that among others invented Hello Kitty. Gudetama is an lazy egg yolk that is... basically famous for being lazy. Who cares? It has a cheeky little butt, a cuddly bacon blanket and its own restaurant!

There you can get all kind of merchandise and of course different Japanese dishes made with egg in the form of Gudetama!

After this typical Japanese experience we started back to Tokyo. On our way we were lucky: The weather was perfectly sunny so we were able to get some good views of mount Fuji.

Like the first days after our arrival we should stay at the nice Pullman Tokyo Tamachi for our second week in Tokyo, again.

We even got the same spacious room we had stayed in before, what I really appreciated! We were back home – in Tokyo! Continue here.
