No visit to Vienna without sweet dishes. Everybody knows 'Apfelstrudel' but have you heard of 'Kaiserschmarrn'? A thick pancake that is ripped apart and served with plum sauce.

Café Central is a good place to try both. Viennese waiters are said to be grumpy but the one that served us was smart, swift and simply nice.

A few meters down the street you can find the Austrian National Library. Professor Dumbledore would be jealous if he saw this library and its State Hall.

Further down the street the Albertina presents a wide collection of pieces of art. We saw an exhibition about photo volumes.

For an unusual experience inside a church we went to the Karlskirche afterwards. Here you can take an elevator to get up close to the ceiling painting inside the huge dome.

In the afternoon we went to the Knödel Manufaktur to meet a friend. Not without crossing the Museumsquartier 'MQ' of course.

I am biased what to tell you about the Prater. It is an amusement park for sure. But I can't help it, apart from Britsh piers I am not such a big fan of plain rides simply set next to each other. The famous old Ferris wheel is worth mentioning, though.

For another 'Beisl' experience we went to the 'Zum Alten Fassl', a restaurant my friend had recommended. Let me tell you one thing before you order there: I chose the 'Vanillerostbraten' and expected meat with vanilla (ok you might think that is gross). But what I got was meat covered in garlic...ok, I'll go with that, too.

At the end of the day we went up to our hotel's rooftop terrace 'Dachboden' and waved goodbye.

I really liked being back in this beautiful city full of art, architecture and food. When it comes to accessibility I was impressed. Especially the public transport was perfectly accessible for me. Baba Vienna.
